The last leg of our journey (coming to you a little late, but better than never), was such a magical experience!

My first trip to Europe (5 years ago), I had visited every other place on this trip BUT Spain! Visiting Barcelona has been on my dad’s bucket list for quite some time now and seeing as though we were already going to be in Europe, my mom added a stop in Spain to fulfill my dad’s one request… How cute of her, right?! I was stoked because it was the one place I had never been!!! That is not to say that I wasn’t happy to be back visiting the other cities on our vacation!!!

The main architectural draw for my dad was La Sagrada Familia. Now, a couple years back I remember talking with my dad about how “when I become famous,” I was going to take every member of my family to a place they wanted to go and my dad’s choice was Spain for this exact building. It was such a random conversation and the fact that I still remember it is shocking, but to say that we were able to visit his “bucket list” place makes me SO happy!

La Sagrada Familia was truly incredible and to think that they are still building it is wild!!!

Fun fact: If you go to Europe, plan on visiting a TON of churches. The churches in Europe are museums in themselves.

We got to not only see Gaudi’s masterpiece that is La Sagrada Familia, but we also got to go into the house he lived in (which had THE BEST AC in all of Barcelona lol)!!!

From water fountain light shows to delusional nap-time pillow fights, cat cafe’s to small little Mexican food restaurants… Barcelona was definitely a place that I will FOR SURE be going back to with my family someday.

Oh also, we brought home some AMAZING cheese (Not quite sure how we were allowed to carry that back on the plane but OH WELL)!!!

If you get the chance to visit Spain, I HIGHLY recommend it!

I hope you are all having an amazing holiday season so far!!

Sincerely,

Kate
